Siamese and Oriental Shorthair Club of Neocat The board of the SOK coordinates all activities of the breed club. It keeps in touch with the members through our SOK-Magazine, which appears three times a year. When you let us know which subjects interest you, we will try to place articles about them in our magazine. When there is sufficient interest, we organize pleasant and instructive club evenings or afternoons, often together with our fellow breed clubs. These evenings are provided by veterinarians, judges or experienced breeders. They give information about genetics, behavior, diseases, new varieties, etc. Sometimes these meetings are graced with cats. Of course you can contact our breed club for advice on breeding and caring for your pedigree cats. To become a member you must possess,
or be a lover of, a Siamese, Balinese, Oriental Shorthair, Mandarin or Thai.
Sok-Magazine
Our magazine includes interesting articles and stories. We mention your show successes and in the section “from the stork” the litters that are born. You can also contribute: If you have a nice story, useful tips or other facts, please send them to the editor. Photos and illustrations are also welcome.
Advice
Choosing a stud, whether or not to breed litters, choosing a female or male, what to do if your female does not have enough milk, etc. About all these matters you can ask for free advice from the SOK. Just call or write to one of the board members.
Stud list
Once a year we publish as complete as possible an overview of male cats in the Netherlands and nearby, so that you can stay well informed about what is available here and there.
Sok-shows
About once a year the SOK organizes a show, together with the other breed clubs. All SOK members register for this, you too of course! The organizing is quite a job by the way, for which we can always use enthusiastic contributors. If you are interested, please contact one of the board members. Volunteers are always welcome.
Membership
Members of the SOK receive all publications, have the right to vote at the Annual General Meeting and may be elected to board positions. This membership is for members of NEOCAT only. Family members have the same rights as members, only they do not receive publications.
Subscription
For non-members of NEOCAT, there is the possibility of becoming a subscriber. You will receive all publications of the SOK and, like members, you will have access to all activities. You are just not allowed to attend the Annual General Meeting and you have no voting rights.

Kitten mediation
Mrs. Joke van Kuringen provides mediation for the SOK and for NEOCAT. She does this with attention and a lot of love.
